It’s been a week since the White Sox lost to the Astros 10-1 in what would be the Sox’s last game until next year. You know what? That sucks. It really does. But this isn’t going to be the last year that the White Sox will be in the playoffs.
The Sox had a great year this year. They went 93-69, won the AL Central by 13, and had great seasons by individual players. But for the year to end like that? 10-1? It seems like a terrible way to end the season. But, trust me here, it will all be fine. The Sox are a great team. They’ll be even better next year.
As I said before, a lot of players on the Sox had incredible seasons. Carlos Rodon, Yasmani Grandal, Lance Lynn, Lucas Giolito, Luis Robert, and the list goes on. I can’t guarantee that each of these players will be as good next year, but they certainly won’t be bad.
Contrary to the consensus before the season, the AL Central was especially weak, with every team except this Sox finishing with a losing record. This is good news, however the Sox should face better competition next year.
In conclusion, 2021 was a great year. It’s sad that it had to end this way, but it did. And there’s always next year.
