White Sox To Decline Cesar Hernandez’s Option For 2022

Cesar Hernandez will likely not return to the White Sox in 2022. A trade deadline acquisition, Hernandez played terribly, slashing .232/.309/.299 with the Sox. Although the price wasn’t too steep, Hernandez did more harm than good in a Sox uniform.

This brings up a question of who will start at second base in 2022. That question, among others, will have to be addressed this offseason.
