Eloy Jimenez To Be Out For 6-8 Weeks

In yet another blow to the White Sox’s season, Eloy Jimenez is out 6-8 weeks with a hamstring injury. This is terrible news for the slumping White Sox. Jimenez was injured for a good chunk of the year in 2021, and that was part of the reason for the White Sox’s struggles down the stretch.

The White Sox acquired Eloy Jimenez in the same trade that brought Dylan Cease to the White Sox in 2017. Jimenez has been decent for the White Sox in 4 years with the club. He slugged his way to an .813 OPS with 56 home runs in just under 250 games.

In 2022, Eloy Jimenez has struggled; slashing .222/.256/.333 with 1 home run. Despite that, this will be a blow to the White Sox’s playoff hopes in 2022.
